I haven’t done a series on Web hosting before but it is one of the most important parts of your Web business. If you are going to be successful online you have to have the right web host that is going to fulfill the needs of your website and your visitors.

I’ve tested out a number of different web hosts over the years and found a few that I really like. I have accounts with three different web host and have tested out a host of others as well.

The first thing you’ll need to be aware of is the goals and needs of your site. Are you going to be expecting tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of visitors within a few months? If so then you’ll need to go with a more dedicated hosting package because most of the shared hosting plans that you see out there for $7.95 will only allow about 25 users on the site at a time.

If you’ve been in the Internet marketing space for any time at all you’ve probably seen those e-mails “our servers crashed” or “too many customers overwhelmed our servers”. Now these are not always just marketing ploys to be able to send out another e-mail I get you back to their site to make more money.

Lots of times these gurus and even just regular people that were running the product launch maybe the following Jeff Walker’s product launch formula simply did not anticipate the demand they were going to have in the amount of traffic their affiliates were going to send and so they had the wrong web host.

I believe Frank Kern talked about are ones where he said he had to upgrade to a dedicated server that could allow up to 10,000 connections at the same time. So it’s very big to exactly what you’re going to be doing especially if you’re going to be doing a big product launch with lots of JV affiliates are going to be sending traffic to your website all within the span of a few hours or 24 hours you have the appropriate hosting for that.

That is just the first part of the series I wanted it to be a bit of an introduction. I’ll be back with more of my personal experiences and some of the web host that I recommend because I am currently using them now and have been a satisfied customer with one of them for going on three years now. Their customer service is outstanding and the best I’ve seen from web hosting companies.

Internet hosting for your website is one of the most important pieces. You can think of it like your storefront. If your window display is all shoddy and shabby looking and seems rundown this is the same as having host that is incredibly slow or that is down all of the time.

Obviously, to be successful you have to avoid this so stay tuned for part two in this series where talk about the first web host that I’m currently using. And I haven’t decided for sure but I’ll probably make this a five-part series.
