30DC Highlights - the First Half of the Challenge
Filed Under (Traffic Building) by admin on 03-02-2010
As you may know August is historically the worst month for most retail businesses. The whole summer is really a downtime for sales because families and kids are out enjoying summer vacation and doing their annual out-of-town vacations.
But this doesn’t stop the Internet marketing crowd from rolling on. There are lots of huge launches going on that you’ve probably seen in the affiliate market. Also as you know the 30 day challenge is in full swing and about halfway over. I myself have been a passive participant keeping you updated with changes in this year’s 30 day challenge.

The main focus of my time has been on the large social traffic launch that will be going on at the end of this month. Since I am an active participant in the planning and preparation work for this it has taken most of my time. In the evenings I watch the 30 day challenge videos and will give you quick updates here.
Once the details get more firmed up and finalized for the launch of the most complete training in social media marketing and event marketing using Web 2.0 websites and social networking…I’ll be the first to update you.
Without further ado highlights from the first 13 days of 30DC:
1. Market Samurai is the killer Internet marketing tool. They just released the monetization module which will find affiliate products in pretty much any market that you can imagine. It allows you to search Commission Junction, Amazon, eBay, Clickbank without even having an account. You can do your keyword research and then quickly find out whether there are any affiliate products in your market and how well they are selling. As well you can find out the price points and commissions. This saves you boatloads of time.
2. Market Samurai — the published content module was just released. This makes Market Samurai basically an all in one tool that you never have to leave.
Here’s the work flow:
1) You do your keyword research
2) You select the keywords you want and copy them as tags within Market Samurai
3) Then you can paste them into the tags area of the publish content module
4) Then you save as draft
5) Then go to the find content module and do your research so you can write your article
6) Then you get the chunks that you want to write and do your rewrites
7) Then you go back to the publish content module and paste in to the blog post field
Create a title
9) Then you can schedule when you want to post to your WordPress blog or WordPress direct blog account
10) It will automatically add the URL to your rank tracker (just click the checkbox to do so) and designate which keyword tags you want to put in the rank
tracker
11) Finally, you can put in the information for Traffic-Bug to promote your URL to the social bookmarking and other feeds.
You never have to leave the Market Samurai tool which saves you a number of clicks taking out the need for copying and pasting into different websites. The power of this cannot be overstated. If you did just one blog post per day it will probably save you 10 to 30 minutes depending on your copy and paste speed and your Internet speed. Speed kills online as you know.
Productive & Efficient use of your time = money
It’s very simple…when you can get more done in the same amount of time then you are providing more value and will therefore make more money.
3. Traffic bug — The final major highlight of the new information so far is this incredibly easy to use promotional tool. This tool will bookmark your domain and any of your posts to 43 of the top social bookmarking services, it will automatically submit your domain to 1000 different free directories, it will post your RSS feed to the major RSS directories, and it will submit you to all of the 143 minor search engines to make sure your new site gets indexed.
It does all of this behind the scenes without any effort from you. I hope you can see the power of this because who knows how many countless hours of time this will save you. All you have to do is load your domain into your account area. You get a free 40 day trial for being part of the challenge. And if you use Market Samurai you can just put everything in right from within the publish content module and it all happens automatically.
It will allow you to do up to six different titles and up to six different descriptions within traffic bug. You want to do this for ranking purposes so that you have unique titles and descriptions going out to the various services and it doesn’t all look the same across 43 different sites and the thousands of web directories.
Once again, the 30DC boys have out done themselves with new quality resources especially Market Samurai. Is it possible to be in love with a software tool?
4. Web 2.0 sites — finally, the second week of the thirty day challenge has brought us and to the content posting on various social media content holder sites. Those covered this year that are either having tremendous authority in Google right now or have overcome the various Google slaps and are back in Google’s good graces are as follows:
1. Ezinearticles.com
2. WordPress.com
3. Blogspot.com
4. Scribd.com
5. Squidoo.com
6. Hubpages.com
Obviously, when you are posting to these places you do not want to post a sales letter or landing page sales copy. These are basically blogging platforms and you should treat the content you post there the same way. So anything that is good enough to post on your blog would be good enough to post here. Obviously, 100% unique content is going to perform the best and be the most powerful.
In the interest of full disclosure I can tell you that a lot of times I will prepare one article and post to each of the various Web 2.0 content holders.
That’s the big news so far from the first 13 days of the challenge.
P.S. Rank Tracker feature in Market Samurai is a killer tool. Sometimes it doesn’t always pull back my rankings for Google but it is a great bird’s eye view of all of your domains and URLs, where they’re indexed, and where they are ranking so make use of this outstanding module. QUICK UPDATE: It works better when you keep it under 10 different domains and 20 - 30 keywords. Something with a timeout issue when retrieving the data from Google servers.
Talk to you again next week with more from the classified social media training launch updates.
