3 Reasons Why You Need Social Traffic

Filed Under (Relationship Marketing, Social Marketing) by admin on 09-09-2009

1. It’s free

2. It’s pre-qualified

3. It’s where everybody is

Okay, so you know you need to be working and getting traffic from the main social sites like Twitter, Facebook, Digg, Youtube, Google Friend Connect, and even MySpace. But you probably don’t know where to begin nor who to trust.

I was drifting around a bit in the summer of 2007 when I stumbled upon the 30 day challenge and was introduced to Twitter and Facebook. Since then I’ve been able to grow my presence in social media, make connections, and even get a few sales.

But when I really took off and started to see results was when I connected with a group called Social Traffic. There are about 50 of us who work in concert to promote one another’s content and syndicate it through our main network hubs on the biggest social media platforms. The content does have to be vetted first to insure for quality and that it’s not just a sales message.

Maintaining quality is very important in the social business world.

Simon has taught over 500 people in the first wave of his training course on how to use social media for your business. His focus is on building a good compelling story to get your best prospect’s attention and get them to your launch event. And it can be an online launch event.

The beauty of this method is it solves all 3 reasons.

1. It’s free because you are posting out good content and quotes or blurbs your likely prospects would be interested in. They see it and get pulled into your story and want to find out more. They get engaged in your story and click through to your website which is free visitors for you.

2. It’s pre-qualified because only people who’d want to know more about you and your story will be clicking through to your website. So they have an inherent interest in what you are talking about and have to offer. This is very important because you should only care about getting people to your site who might buy. It does no good to get people there who won’t buy your stuff under any circumstances.

3. It’s where everybody is because all you have to do is look at the numbers. Over 200,000,000 users on Facebook now and growing at over 250,000 new users per day! Twitter is now over 18,000,000 users. MySpace has close to 200,000,000 users. YouTube is the #2 search engine in the world behind only Google! People are running to these sites. They are flocking into these communities because it is a safe haven from spam.

After gettting the training from Simon and joining the team I have learned lots of cool stuff and have been able to apply it. We even got a video to the #1 spot in YouTube for the term “google friend connect”. This beat out 8 of Google’s own google developer videos that had tens of thousands and some got hundredes of thousands of views.

Obviously, you can see the power of this and alos get excited about the possibilities because we did this with a few hundred views and comments. These are the powerful tactics and more importantly community that you can be a part of soon.

Stay tuned for more details because I’m still testing some stuff and will give you updates on when you can get into the side door of this community. There’s currently no way to get in but will be a small window of opportunity soon.
